YouTube Registration - How to Create a YouTube Account

Creating a YouTube account can be easy, quick, and free. If you have a Gmail account, you already have everything you need to create a Youtube account. Just submit a few bits of essential information and create a username and password.

Youtube is a website that enables one to watch and share videos online. Once you are signed in to Youtube, then you can watch, share and subscribe to channels you like. However, you cannot upload your own videos unless you create a Youtube channel.

 

YouTube Sign-up Process

YouTube account sign-up process seems simple because Google owns Youtube and so links the two for registration purposes. To sign up for a Youtube account, you must have a Google ID or sign up for a new Google account. Here are the steps to follow;

For the Computer, follow these steps

1.     Visit www.youtube.com to register.

2.     In the top right, click Sign in to go to the basic Google sign-up form.

3.     Click Create Account

4.     Choose For my personal use, For my child or  For work or my business.

5.     Provide a name, password, and email address to confirm your identity

6.   Click Next to submit the information and proceed to the next step.

7. The next page is for you to verify your registration. Google will send you a verification code to do that which expires once you use it.

    At this point, your new Youtube account is created. So you can now watch videos, share and create new channels, etc.

 

For Android, iPhone or iPad follow the steps below:

1. Open the YouTube app.
2. In the top right, tap the profile picture
3. Tap Sign in.
4. Tap Add account

If you're already signed in with a Google Account, but want to make a new one then you do the following:

1. Open the YouTube app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture
3. Tap Add account

Please note that if you already have a Gmail account, you don’t need to create a new one. All you have to do is to fill out the YouTube sign-up form with your correct details for Google to create an ID for you, and then you can sign into Youtube account automatically.

How to sign in/log in to YouTube

So, to login to your youtube account;

1.     Visit www.youtube.com

2.     Click Sign in

3.     Then enter your Google email ID and password

4.     Click Sign in.

Once you've signed into Youtube with your Google Account, you can create a Youtube channel on your account. This channel allows you to upload videos, leave comments, create playlists and do lots of other activities on youtube.
